Growing up in Kenya we never really consumed hot sauce or had much pepper in our meals but in the roads and streets you would find street vendors selling roasted maize with chili and lemon or you would find mango fruit sellers who would always have chili on the side as a condiment. Well that excitement with pepper went into my teenage years & I recall always telling my mom to come home with Peptang’s Hot & Sweet Sauce. My fascination with chili took a backseat in the years after that & I began exploring different entrepreneurial endeavors.

While in that journey I started exploring the idea of farming chillis & never really took a chance until I find out I was going to be a dad . So in 2020, I decided that 2021 was the year I finally get to be a chilli farmer. The plan was to only do this & sell the chilli for export but at the back of that I also decided to explore value addition
